Heritage grain and legume seed suppliers - if you are authorized to sell seed (by your State Department
of Food and Agriculture) please sign up for a free listing in the Whole Grain Connection monthly Newsletter
that the word "heritage" here refers to non-proprietary landrace grains and legumes, and to post-1880 modern crosses
released more than 25 years ago. These non-proprietary heritage seeds can be freely propagated by farmers and sold as seed,
whereas most modern varieties are proprietary and cannot be sold as seed except through the owners. Not all modern seed varietal
ownership expires after 25 years from the time of release. If you choose to grow a modern variety careful check should be
made, so that you do not become liable for the misuse of the seed as a heritage variety.
